Data gets out of date with form configuration

Hi,

This is just a general observation I'd like some comment on.

We've been setting up forms and adjusting them over time. We've found a few instances where we tighten up the form configuration (e.g. making a record link field go from multi to single select) and the existing data ends up being invalid (and causing issues).

Is the only solution here to export, clean up and then re-import the existing data? These things can be a bit hard to keep track of, so I wonder whether the Form Designer could highlight where these issues will come up with existing data?

Any tips/thoughts?

    Hello Steve,

    Thanks a lot for reaching out about this.

    Right now the only solution is to either clean up the existing data and import it back into Fulcrum or to duplicate the app and start fresh.

    We try to place warnings in the app builder when changes to the app could have an impact on the existing data. I will share your feedback on highlighting where issues are when editing the app's structure.
