Does anyone know if there is a way to calculate a time difference if it is greater than 24 hour?

    Have you tried this method?

    Plus the difference between dates?

    That was quick.

Yes, we make extensive use of the time difference function. However, some of our sampling events go from 60-72 hours long. As I see it now the time difference function only recognizes a 24 hour clock. Since there is no way to enter the day, it can't calculate time differences for anything greater than 24 hours.

Can't you also use your date fields as well to calculate 24 hour periods?

PS I am just a user, not part of Fulcrum. I just happened to see your post

Like phil mentioned, you will need to use date fields in conjunction with time fields in order to capture a time difference that is greater than 24 hours.

Let me see if I can get a sample put together by one of my team members. Once setup, I will share the app with you.

    Hey guys,

For complex date/time calculations, we recommend using the Moment.js library. You can include this library in a calculation field and use the diff function in conjunction with Fulcrum date and time fields to calculate the time difference in seconds, minutes, hours, days, etc.

Here's an example app that shows how you can accomplish this.

Sounds like you got it working! Moment offers a treasure trove of functions for slicing and dicing dates and times, so you should be good to go!
