Multiplying classification field value with numerical field value

Hi guys.

I am having some trouble with a calculation I’m trying to implement.

I would like my calculation field to multiply a classification field value with a numerical field value.

The calculation I am using is CHOICEVALUE($building_element) * $square_meterage

So lets say I survey a window and 25m² needs replacing. I will choose a Building Element (classification field) which has a label of ‘Window’ and value of ‘125’ and then enter ‘25’ in Square Meterage (numeric field) which should give me the result of $3,125

Is this the correct way to go about it?

Thank you.

    Hi Daniel

    I think something like the following might work.

    var values = CHOICEVALUES($building_element);
    var last_value = values[values.length - 1];

    SETRESULT(NUM(last_value) * NUM($square_meterage));
