Calculation Expressions and "Other" Values in Classification Sets

Hi there,

I'm having trouble using a calculation to display a value in a classification set that was inputted as "other".

For example: in the following classification set titled $taxonomy I have the following options.
Order > Family > Genus > Species

I would like the calculation field to only show the value of the 'Species' subset, which contains three choices with their respective values as 'Cat', 'Dog' and 'Human'.

The expression I'm using in the calculation field looks like:

if ($taxonomy && $taxonomy.choice_values[3]) {
SETRESULT($taxonomy.choice_values[3]); }

If 'Cat', 'Dog' or 'Human' are selected, the value displays in the calculation field (great) just as expected.

However, if I have manually inputted a value for choice_values3 by pressing 'Other' and typing in "Snake" rather than selecting 'Dog', 'Cat' or 'Human', nothing displays in the calculation field.

Any insight on how to resolve this?

    The CHOICEVALUE() function will return the selected value for both listed and "other" values.
