Hi Folks,

We have a data event in an app and it appears that the data events do not work when adding records on the web interface. Can you confirm this?

Cheers - Phil

    Hi Phil,

    Data Events should work on both web and mobile, but you may have found a bug or platform nuance. It's likely an issue with your particular implementation. Would you mind sharing the code or you can email me directly at [email blocked] and I can take a look.

    Hi Bryan,

    Code as below to update parent status depending on status of child record.

    ON('change', 'contact_records', function(event) {
      var lastStatus = LAST(REPEATABLEVALUES($contact_records, 'status_of_contact'));

    Status is not enabled in the app (I am assuming this is not required)

    Cheers - Phil

    Hey Phil,

    I'm pretty sure status needs to be enabled for SETSTATUS to work. You also need to set the value to a valid status option (which configures the color). Try enabling status and making it hidden if you don't want users to manually change it.
