Default value violates filter

If I auto-populate to the last value, but also have a filter on this value, what is the behavior when the last value does not satisfy the filter? Currently it still displays the last value. Instead, it should blank out the value. This will produce errors in the forms!

    Hello Chris,

It would be best to only use one or the other in this case (selection filters or default to last value). So if you are using selection filters in a record link field, then it would not be advisable to use default to last value, since this could populate the field with a record that is not displayed in the record link selection box.

It is also important to understand that the selection filter only filters the possible records that can be selected, it does not validate what is populated in the field.
